Michael Phelps Becomes the Winningnest Olympian Ever

US swimmer Michael Phelps became the winningnest Olympian ever by capturing his 10th and 11th career gold medals and five world records at the Beijing Olympics.

Yesterday, Phelps matched Mark Spitz and Carl Lewis, Paavo Nurmi and Larysa Latynina for having nine Olympic gold medals. Today, he won the 200-meter butterfly and later on, led the US 800 freestyle relay team to a record-shattering victory 4 seconds better than the old mark.

Phelps is now the lone record holder for the most career golds list (eleven so far) and he still have 3 more chances to widen the lead.
