Ellen DeGeneres Marries Girlfriend in LA

4-time Emmy Award winning talk show host Ellen DeGeneres married her long-time partner, actress Portia de Rossi, at their home in Los Angeles Saturday.
50-year-old DeGeneres and 35-year-old former “Ally Mcbeal” star exchanged handwritten vows in an intimate ceremony with only 19 guests according to Ellen’s publicist.
The couple have been open about their relationship for four years. Ellen announced her plans to we de Rossi on her talk show “Ellen” last May right after California’s Supreme Court ruled against the ban on same-sex marriage.
Ellen is the first openly gay lead character in the US primetime tv series when her alter ego on “Ellen” came out of the closet in 1997.
Her previous girlfriend was Anne Heche, also a Hollywood actress.
