24-year-old Ryan Roberts, formerly from the US Army, bested 15 contestants for the Mister International Philippines title on Sept. 1 at the A.Venue Mall in Makati City.
The 6-footer Fil-Am hunk won a cash prize of P20,000.00 and the privilege to represent the country in the Mister International 2008 pageant to be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on November 23.

hmmmmm… 20k lang ang grand prize? may gash abelgas na punong puno ng pulgas… major male pageant 20K lang ang premyo? ang barat naman kung sino mang mga bakla ang nag organize ng pageant na iyan. im sure ang habol lang ng mga yan ay makahipo ng mga tihtih at vayag. nakakaloka. mas malaki pa ang premyo ng miss gay sa tarlak. 30k ang winner.

The 20,000 cash prize was just an outright prize given to him on the day of the pageant. He also has a one year wardrobe from Philosophy for Men. Round trip ticket to Taiway to compete in the Mister International search in November and a 400USD allowance. My apologies to those who feel that the prize is small but I only had six weeks to organize the pageant and 70 percent of the expenses came out of my own pocket. Next year, if I have more time to get sponsors, I will make sure that the prizes are bigger. Thank you for your comments.

he deserves to win.. atleast we got a title holder,formerly from the military. and not from any models out there who doesnt have substance and are doubtful of their sexuality. goodluck ryan,make us proud!!
