GMA-7 Named Outstanding Television Station by VACC

For the 10th time, the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) awarded GMA Network the Outstanding Television Station trophy.

Dubbed as the “Dekada” award, the recognition was conferred to GMA for its high-caliber news programming and investigative reporting in line with the anti-crime and corruption campaigns of the group.

The network was chosen since 1998 and the last trophy was given last August 28 during the VACC’s 10th Founding anniversary celebration in Quezon City. GMA-7’s Vice President for Corporate Communications Butch Raquel received the “Dekada” award for the Network.

GMA News and Public Affairs also received an award for its continued fight against crime and injustice. The VACC granted awards to the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and to dzBB radio reporter Sam Nielsen.
