TV5 is Now in Third Place Nationwide

The television channel formerly known as ABC 5 is now the number 3 most-watched station nationwide.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), TV5 captured a 3.7% viewership on its first week of airing. The figure was based on a survey on Channel Household Shares Week 33.
ABS-CBN Channel 2 placed first nationwide with 42.2% while rival GMA-7 landed on the second spot at 37.3%.
RPN 9, which is now consolidated with Crime and Suspense Channel on cable tv, placed fourth at 2.7%.
TV5 is the new brand name of ABC 5, which entered into a “long-term block airtime agreement” with MPB Primedia Inc., local subsidiary of the Malaysian conglomerate Media Prima Berhad.

lam niyo hindi naman dpat magaway away dhil sa TV stations, dahil pareho silang magagaling. ABS-CBN, GMA 7, at TV5 lahat kayo magagaling magbigay ng entertainment sa tao. ano bng kinikita niyo sa sa rating?! wla naman diba kundi ang konting papel na matatanggap ng bawat kampo sa oras na bigayan ng parangal sa stage… alam niyo ba ang mas mahalaga ung napapasaya niyo ang mga tao sa mga programa niyo…hindi ung siraan sa bawat panig…lahat kayo (ABS, GMA at TV5) ay pinagkakatiwalaan ng taong bayan sa mga balita at entertainment na naiibibigay niyo sa amin, bilang manonood nais ko lng sabihin na itigil niyo na ang rivalry ng mga stations…hindi mahalaga ang kaperasong bagay o papel (trope,awards,recognition)sa pagtulong sa kapwa… ang mahalaga magtulungan kayo sa pagsisiwalat ng kurapsyon at katiwalian sa gobyerno…kayo ang inaasahan nmin na magbibigay ng mga balita at mga bagay bagay na kailangan namin sa araw araw….bakit kaya gawin niyo minsan na magpurihan sa TV?!

TV5 is watchable because of the anime cartoons.
For the adults, The Evening News is refreshing compared to Saksi and Bandila.

wla tlagang sinabi ang GMA sa ABS..that’s why even though they are #1 in Mega Manila…GMA can never claim they are #1 in the Philippines.
