Family Feud to be Hosted by Richard Gomez

Although Gobingo is performing well in the ratings game, it will be replaced by a new game show - the Philippine edition of "Family Feud."

GMA 7 has bought the franchise to the 32-year-old game show from Fremantle Media, the company who also owns the Idol brand.

The new game show will occupy the Gobingo timeslot and will be hosted by Richard Gomez. It will air in mid-October and compete head to head with Kris Aquino‘s Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.

10 Kapuso celebrities auditioned for the hosting job but it was Goma who was chosen by the Fremantle executives.

The game show pits two families against each other in a contest to name the most popular responses to a survey-type question posed to 100 people. P150,000.00 will be accumulated everyday by the winning family until they are defeated by the challenging family. Competing on it’s first run are showbiz families.
