Dingdong Dantes accidentally revealed that his next GMA-7 primetime soap is still with Marian Rivera.

This could disappoint the fans petitioning for a Richard Gutierrez-Marian Rivera team up for the Philippine remake of the Mexican telenovela “Rosalinda.”

Invited press on the first shooting day of their movie “One True Love” from GMA Films and Regal Entertainment yesterday, September 24, asked Marian Rivera about her next project after Dyesebel. The Primetime Queen did not reveal anything including her next leading man except for one tiny clue that her next project with GMA is a drama series.

Dingdong Dantes came in and the press asked him point-blank about his next project with GMA-7 and with the slip of the tongue, the heartthrob quickly replied, “Meron na, kami ulit ni Marian.”

After the statement, Dingdong realized his mistake and for damage control he just added, “Pero di ko naman sasabihin kung ano. Pero nakausap na kami tungkol dito. And it will be a comedy series.”

Since Richard Gutierrez is going to play the role of Zorro, Dennis Trillo is Gagambino, then it’s now easier to assume that Dingdong Dantes will play the role of “Fernando Carillo” in the upcoming remake of Rosalinda, with Marian Rivera in the title role.

Dingdong and Marian are currently shooting their first movie together “One True Love.” It has a November playdate. If they are indeed the lead stars of Rosalinda, the Mexican telenovela remake could be aired on the first quarter of 2009.
