Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola Star in ‘Scaregiver’

Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola will star in their launching movie “Scaregiver” by APT Entertainment.
“Scaregiver” is a horror comedy movie produced by Tony Tuviera. APT is the movie department of TAPE Inc., the firm behind top-rating noontime show “Eat Bulaga” and top-rating soap opera “Daisy Siete.”
APT Entertainment’s first movie was “Ispirista: Itay, May Moomoo” starring Vic Sotto and BJ Forbes. The box-office hit horror-comedy was shown in 2005. Their second movie was “Txt” starring Angel Locsin, Oyo Boy Sotto and Dennis Trillo. The horror flick was shown in 2007.
This year, APT ventured in full-length animation feature with Urduja featuring the voices of Regine Velasquez and Cesar Montano. Urduja received the highest grade of “A” from the Cinema Evaluation Board.
Now in their fifth movie, APT will launch Eat Bulaga’s Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola as comedy movie actors in “Scargiver”. Also starring in the horror-comedy flick are Paolo Contis, Ehra Madrigal and Iza Calzado. The director of the movies is Uro dela Cruz and scheduled hit the theaters on November 26, 2008.
There are two other movies scheduled for a November release: the first is “Land Down Under” by Star Cinema starring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin. The second is “One True Love” by GMA Films starring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
If the screening dates of both movies will remain as scheduled, Wally and Jose will be pitted with superstars from rival networks.
