I.T.A.L.Y.’s First Week Gross is P13.2 Million

Contrary to rumors that the romantic comedy I.T.A.L.Y. earned P40 million on its first day, Box Office Mojo has released the actual 1st week gross of the GMA Films movie.

According to the data gathered by the American website, I.T.A.L.Y. starring Eugene Domingo, Jolina Magdangal and Dennis Trillo has raked in a mediocre P13.2 Million on its opening weekend. 10 local movies shown this year has performed better. ITALY stood at no. 11 in the list of weekend gross for pinoy films. The complete Top 12 below:

For the updated tally of current films, Dobol Trobol Hits P90,495,627.00 on its 6th week. Star Cinema’s For the First Time, on the other hand, has a 4-week total of P128,834,868.00.

“Sukob” could still be the All-Time no. 1 Pinoy movie as “A Very Special Love” registered P179,212,304.00 on its 8th week. We shall see if the Sarah-John Lloyd movie lasts until week 9 in order to beat Sukob’s record of P186.41 million. Nevertheless, “A Very Special Love” remains the no. 1 pinoy movie of 2008.
