5 Pinoys Win Golden Elephant Awards in Bangkok

Claire dela Fuente, Gary V., Dolphy, Mark Bautista and Sheryn Regis are winners in the Golden Elephant Awards happening on December 5 to 8, 2008 in Thailand.

The Golden Elephant Awards is an international award-giving body conducted by the Golden Excellence Award which is based in Thailand. It aims to recognize excellence in the field of performing arts across the region. In their 2008 edition, 5 Filipinos will be recognized in 5 categories and they are:

Claire dela Fuente
Hall of Fame – Performing Arts Female Category

Dolphy
Hall of Fame – Performing Arts Male Category

Gary Valenciano
Best Male Concert

Mark Bautista
Most Promising Male Performer

Sheryn Regis
Most Promising Female Performer

Winners in other categories will come from various countries across Asia.

    yan ganyan dapat ang article ng mga awards may profile tungkol sa awards giving body hindi katulad nung sa ASIAN STAR ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS never heard ang name wala pa nakalagay about ASEA and how the winner was picked.

    on the other hand aanhin mo ang awards kung wala ka namang show like angel locsin (ASEA). and or flop naman ang tv show nio.
    tingnan nio ang mga kapusucks sinu maniniwala na number 1 ang LA LOLA. bigtime kasi tita ni la lola.
    laki ng ipinamigay na groceries pang noche buena package na ang worth nia kaya ayun madami nanood ng la lola.

    ABS-CBN’s Karaoke game show “The Singing Bee” ended its first season as the number one tv program in the country.

    Ruling the weekday primetime block for the third time in a row, The Singing Bee registered an average of 35.2% for the month of September beating Mega Manila’s no. 1 “Dyesebel” by just 0.3%.

    Wowowee remain udisputed in the weekday daytime race nationwide as it registered 23% for the month of September. Placing second is the Mexican telenovela “El Cuerpo.”

    For the weekend bouts, The Challenge: Casamayor Vs. Marquez (ABS-CBN) garnered 23.4% to top the weekend daytime race. Pinoy Dream Academy’s Grand Finale registered an impressive 40.4 percent to top the weekend primetime race.

    Here are the Top 10 weekday and weekend programs for the month of September 2008 based on a survey conducted by AGB Nielsen among NUTAM households:
