to ciela
i understand. im not one of them. i just happen to know marian. she’s very pretty in person.
i know that there are kapamilya’s and kapuso’s na bastos. im not one of those. and the reason why i also watch gma shows is for comparison. for me there are many talents of gma n malaki potential pero di nabibigyan ng chance. i dunno, the workshop maybe. i find abs talents better in acting than gma (sorry but that’s according to my observation and opinion).
and im sorry if i hurt your feelings.

“One True Love” or “One True Flop”?
GMA Films
and Regal Films latest offering “One True Love” starring boobtube’s perennial screen partners Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes reportedly earned P10 Million on its first day of screening.
The film, which banks on the so-called and GMA proclaimed popularity of Marian and Dingdong failed to topple the opening gross of “A Very Special Love” which starred multimedia superstar Sarah Geronimo and Box-Office King John Lloyd Cruz.
Curiously, one might wonder why the film grossed even less than the Toni Gonzaga-Vhong Navarro starrer “My Only U” when it stars the loveteam of a show which supposedly topped the television ratings. Their “Marimar” is the only 2008 TV show which reached 50% mark in ratings but failed to attract moviegoers.
Say, even the film is low in quality (knowing GMA Films), it should earn higher than P10 Million with their so-called huge following. But why???
Can we say that the viewers presented by AGB-Nielsen in the ratings sheet were all falsified and ghost TV audiences? Or the viewers of GMA are mostly from class CDE which can’t afford uxuries like cinemas/moviehouses?
TV ratings must equate popularity and REAL/GENUINE popularity should equate in box-office!

Think before you comment, TV as a medium is not in par with Cinema. TV is accessible anywhere you are whether or not you have cable connections. That is why it is considered as the number one audio-visual medium in reaching out the multiple target audience. While Cinema as a medium is selective in nature and not always accessible. Just because I watch TV all the time doesn’t mean I can watch a movie in a movie house. TV can penetrate class ABCDEF and even class Z.As long as the channel has frequencies, it can reach anyone even they are on the mountain side of the island. While a movie house is not. It rarely can reach the class c to z due to several factors. First, the location, how far is it from the residents? budget wise, how much will it cost them to watch any movie? In tv everything is given for free. watch whichever channel you want , what ever show you want. name it and you can have it. Cinema , no , no, watch ONLY IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH CAPACITY.time and money. So now, do you know why a tv show has more viewers than a movie? If still you are not understanding the differences of the two medium, go and see for yourself. Go to a far flung areas and figure out if you can watch the movie (cinema) from there. And count all the people who has tv sets. Numbers dont lie unless you are in denial.

No.1 talaga kapamilya.
gusto nyo patunay magdrop by kayo sa channel 5 shake mo TV mo. isinasabi nila ang totong rank.pano ko nasabi na 22o its just a commom sense ilalagay ba nila sa rank 3 ang channel nila for what?just because they accept the truth that no.1 is kapamilya no.2 kapuso.eh ang kapuso d nila matanggap gawin u na lang kaya ang ginwa ng channel 5.tanggapin nyo na lang.
pero kung minsan showbiz din yang GMA channel na yan alam namn nila sa srili nila kung saan sila lalagay kaya lang nag iingay para mapansin mapanoud o panoudin sila. at yan ang ginagawa ng GMA
