Russia Wins Top Model Event in Miss World 2008

Miss Russia Kseniva Sukhinova bested 31 semi-finalists in the Top Model fast-track event in the highly contested Miss World 2008.

Russia is the second delegate (after Mexico) to fast-track in the Top 15 of Miss World 2008 pageant after winning the Top Model contest. Last week, Mexico became the first semi-finalist after winning the Beach Beauty contest. Russia was runner-up to Mexico in that event.

Winning 1st Runner up is Angola while India managed to grab the second runner up honors.

“Being voted Top Model is the highlight of my trip so far to South Africa,” said a glowing Miss Kseniya Sukhinova. “I had my heart set on winning this event and now my dream has come true. Now, I am setting my sights higher and am focusing on the Miss World 2008 crown.”
