Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez in Local ‘Full House’?

After My Girl, My Name is Kim Sam Soon and the soon to be shown All About Eve, another koreanovela is about to have its Philippine version.
GMA bought the rights for the highest-rating koreanovela on Philippine television, Full House. When GMA Network aired the Korean series in 2004, it received a peak rating of 52%. Now the kapuso network has decided to make it’s own Philippine version of the show.
As of this post, the leading man role is still reserved for Richard Gutierrez (who will soon star in the local remake of Zorro). He will play the role of “Justine”, originally portrayed by Asian Heartthrob Rain.
Justine is a top Korean actor. He does his utmost not to hurt other people and not to be hurt himself. Every movie he starred in became a blockbuster. He is stubborn when it comes to selecting which movies to star in, but he has received much acclaim for his talent. Although Young-Jae always behaves and speaks as he wants, he does that only to protect himself from being hurt and not to hurt others. People think of him as a very candid person, but that is also Young-Jae’s strategy to hide himself – or rather his failure to express himself to the fullest. As one who is unaccustomed to being frank and open, Young-jae is bad at making friends and very proud of his ideals and principles. He deeply loves his childhood friend, Hye-Won, even though she shows him no affection. One day, he stumbles upon Ji-Eun and slowly falls in love with her.
Wilma Galvante mentioned last year that the role of Jessie Han, the female lead in Full House, is reserved for Marian Rivera. But of course, it will only be possible if Marian’s schedule will allow her to be the local “Jessie Han.”
Jessie is the woman lead character of the drama. It is shown as a cheerful, optimistic and loyal girl to her friends. Naive and not very smart, she is shown as a character with spunk and a good heart as displayed in her never ending quest to be a writer. Her journey with Young Jae(Bi) is filled with trials and (at first) unrequited love. She is best described as an orphaned online novelist who lives in a beautiful house (called FULL HOUSE-named by her father) which she inherited from her parents. Her troubles started when her closest friends tricked her by sending her on a trip to Shanghai so they could sell her house behind her back. When she returned, she found out the house was sold and she had nowhere to go. The person who bought the house is the famous movie star Lee Young Jae and the only way she could stay was if she would be his personal maid.
Both Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez have a new primetime series to be launched soon. Marian is paired again with Dingdong Dantes for the remake of the classic thriller “Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang.” Richard, on the other hand, is starring the the local tv remake of the Mexican legend “Zorro.”
So for now, we can assume that Marian and Richard’s next project is “Full House” after they finish their corresponding primetime series. This is going to be their second team-up after their successful Valentine movie My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend. But that, of course, depends if the GMA executives will pursue the new tandem for tv.

okay lng kay Richard yan sikat kc cya eh bagay lng na role kay Justin e yung sikat kasi sikat si Rain sa Korea, yung kay Jessie nung una akala ko di pede kay Marian pero since nakita ko pag-arte niya sa Hinugot na medyu may pagkakenkoy aba pwede nga noh. kasu nga lng malayu itsura niya kay Jessie XD mas kamukha nga lng ni heart pero I doubt na magagawang magpatawa ni heart kasi medyu seryoso ata kasi siya, nahhalata ko atnang medyu di pa cya comfortable sa kapuso channel.

0k lang i think it’s gonna be good kasi napatunayan naman ni Marian at Richard na puede silang maging magka-love team dahil sa ginawa nilang movie na “My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend”. Alam naman nating nag-hit talaga yun. So anyway I hope matuloy. *peace out*

pag remake ba dapat kamuka mo yung original?
edi para mo na ring snabi na mas wlang originality ang program…
gnyan cguro ang program ng abs,..pag remake dpat kamuka…
pero mas prefer ko si rhian ramos as jessie han kasi napatunayan na nya nag pagko-comedy sa lalola…
isa pa fresh pa si rhian,..hndi pa pagsasawaan..

Oh no. Why are Filipino networks so caught up in remaking Korean mini series? Some remakes were able to give proper justice to the original ones like ABS-CBN’s “My Girl” and GMA 7’s “All About Eve” but I don’t think this remake will be a good one.
No one can ever replace Rain (Bi) and Song Hye-gyo’s portrayal of Young-jae and Ji-eun. These characters are one-of-a-kind K-drama products. I hope this project will not push through.
If it does push through, I think Richard Gutierrez will be okay as “Justin”. However, with Marian Rivera’s hoarse voice and somewhat “snobby” aura, I don’t think she will fit the role of “Jessie”. I hope another actress will be slated to play “Jessie”.

i think richard gutierrez is fine to play the role of justin..hehe..since he is an actor, might as well, play one as well..but i’m not so sure about marian rivera..she’s got her own groove, more suited to play other interesting parts..rather go for glaiza de castro, seems like she could play an interesting jessie, quirky and cute..hehe..for the role of luigi and the other girl, i’d vote for jc de vera an rhian ramos..hehe..they really looked great together..

hi!!! si marian rivera okay na okay yan as role of jessie, pede si mark anthony na lng ang justin kasi mas bagay sa kanya. see gumawa siya ng korean remake ng samsoon di ba ang taas ng ratings. sana naman si mark anthony n lng wag na si richard coz richard is not the ryt justin.

at sa lahat ng nagsasabi na nalulugi na ang gma7… wala kayong alam!!!! kaya pala nawala sila connie sison , dorris bigornia, at erwin tulfo sa abs… kasi ang dahilan ay nalulugi yung channel 2 at nagtanngal ng 300 tauhan… miski tanong nyo pa kay kina erwin tulfo… lagi nilang tinitira ang abs sa DZXL hello0o0…

ahm, marian as jessie han and richard for justine lee? hahahaha! i can’t imagine richard and marian playing that roles. besides si richard lageng iisa ang muka pag naarte alang dating, si marian naman di bagay sa role ni jessie na mabait, comedy at sweet kase bagay xa sa mga pang-bitchy roles hndi keri ang jessie han! hello maghanap nga kayo ng karapat-dapat at desrving sa mga role na yan! para kumita yang plano niong full house remake! yung tipong chcinita at chinito.
