Slumdog Millionaire is a story about an illiterate kid who tries to become a contestant on the Hindi version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire” in order to re-establish contact with the girl he loves, who is an ardent fan of the show.
Synopsis:
The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show’s questions. Intrigued by Jamal’s story, the jaded Police Inspector begins to wonder what a young man with no apparent desire for riches is really doing on this game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out…
The movie stars Dev Patel as Jamal, Anil Kapoor as Prem and directed by Danny Boyle. Slumdog Millionaire is one of the frontrunners in this year’s Oscar Awards.

1. ABS- CBN BROADCASTING NETWORK COMMERCIAL RATE IS HIGHER THAN ITS COMPETITOR GMA NETWORK

According to Philippine Advertisers Association, the noontime block rate of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network is costing 120, 000 Pesos per 10 seconds commercial load while GMA Network only rate 80, 000 Pesos per 10 seconds commercial.
The Primetime of ABS-CBN commercial block is worth 160,000 Pesos per 10 seconds while GMA is 120, 000 Pesos.
So, ABS-CBN is expensive than GMA because of its quality shows and at present advertisers do not rely on ratings because of some uncertainty of credibilty conducted by survey company.
The advertisers in the Philippines spent billion of pesos through print ad, radio and television.

si katrina desperada talaga yan si manay!!!hahaha…alam mo ang weird kasi supposdly aftr angel katrina is the next big thing pero parang sapaw na sapaw siya ni marian..parang di na siya umaangat…advise ko lang sakanya, sa kapamilya may future ka!

maganda ba ang slumdog millionaire??? hhmmm… HINDI!!!! pangit at napaka unrealistic ng story. imposible naman lahat ng tanong sa game show ay makakarelate ang contestant.. BOBO ang writer ni2… saka napakagulo ng sequence ng story.. ba’t ba nanalo ‘to. mas maganda pa ang changeling di2…
