1st Queeriosity International Film Festival

Gay indie films are becoming a genre in Philippine movies and to strengthen this claim, Filipino directors join forces to launch the first Queeriosity International Film Festival.

According to Cris Pablo, the founder of Sinehan Digitales ( Indie Films) and the Queeriosity International Film Festival, is to pay homage on the PINK festival in Manila way back in 1999 and the emerging pink market on Philippine Cinema Industry.

Here are the movies to be featured in the festival on February 11 to 17, 2009, at the Robinson’s IndieSine of Robinson’s Galleria in Ortigas:

The launch of the 1st QIFF aims to complement the community activities of clans and groups of bisexuals and gay men such as the Fabulous 30s & 40s, Panget Clan, HBOX, School Boys Society, Bi Males Clan, Bi-Pilipinas Charity, Elite Mens Circle, Binatang Pinoy, New Age Community, Quatros Elementos Clan and many others in promoting acceptance of homosexuality in society.
