‘Friday the 13th’ Remake Tops Valentines Box-Office

"Friday the 13th" the remake delivered enough screams to top US Box-office last Valentine weekend with $42.2 million.

The slasher flick which is the reboot of the 1980 horror classic registered a record for the horror genre last Valentine’s Day weekend.

The Warner Bros. horror movie surpassed the $39.1 million debut for 2004’s “The Grudge,” the Hollywood adaptation of the Japanese horror movie. Accounting for today’s higher admission prices, however, “The Grudge” sold slightly more tickets.
