National TV Ratings: GMA Soaps Beat Rivals

We know that the national TV Ratings survey is ABS-CBN's turf but two of GMA's soap operas were able to beat its rival shows on ABS-CBN.

Last Friday in the daytime race, Daisy Siete registered 16.3% beating it’s rival show Parekoy which garnered 14.4%. The Sine Novela Saan Darating ang Umaga, on the other hand, trumped its rival show Pieta by getting 18.4%.

February 13, Friday (Daytime):

Boy & Kris (ABS-CBN) 10.3%; SiS (GMA-7) 8.3%

Pilipinas, Game KNB? (ABS-CBN) 18.4%; Rosalinda (GMA-7) 15.4%

Wowowee (ABS-CBN) 22.8%; Eat Bulaga! (GMA-7) 17.7%

Parekoy (ABS-CBN) 14.4%; Daisy Siete (GMA-7) 16.3%

Pieta (ABS-CBN) 16%; Saan Darating ang Umaga? (GMA-7) 18.4%

La Traicion (ABS-CBN) 13.2%; Be Strong Geum Soon (GMA-7) 11.8%

Mr. Bean Live (ABS-CBN) 11.1%; Wanted: Perfect Family (GMA-7) 11%

Mischievous Princess (ABS-CBN) 12.6%; Love at the Corner (GMA-7) 10.8%

On Valentines Day (Saturday, Feb. 14), daytime programming was dominated by ABS-CBN shows with Wowowee topping all programs with 21.9 percent. In the primetime race, however, two GMA programs emerged victorius and these are Imbestigador and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. Jessica beats the girls of Banana Split while Mike Enriquez beats the triumvirate of XXX.

February 14, Saturday

Pilipinas, Game KNB? (ABS-CBN) 10.8%; Maynila (GMA-7) 8.8%; Takeshi’s Castle (GMA-7) 10.4%

Wowowee (ABS-CBN) 21.9%; Eat Bulaga! (GMA-7) 18.2%

Cinema FPJ: Da King on ABS-CBN (ABS-CBN) 11.4%; Wish Ko Lang (GMA-7) 15%

Komiks Presents Flash Bomba (ABS-CBN) 21.2%; Pinoy Records (GMA-7) 15.8%

Primetime:

The Singing Bee (ABS-CBN) 27.2%; Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5? (GMA-7) 17%

Maalaala Mo Kaya (ABS-CBN) 30.1%; Bitoy’s Funniest Videos (GMA-7) 22.8%

Banana Split (ABS-CBN) 17.7%; Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (GMA-7) 24.2%

XXX (ABS-CBN) 12.7%; Imbesitigador (GMA-7) 25.2%; Kapuso Movie Festival (ABS-CBN) 12.4%

Lastly, let’s look at the national tv ratings for February 15, Sunday. ABS-CBN dominated the daytime race with ASAP grabbing the top spot with 17.6%. The only victorius kapuso show for the day was Kap’s Amazing Stories beating its rival Goin’ Bulilit. Topping Sunday’s primetime was Cesar Montano’s The Singing Bee with 28.4%.

Goin’ Bulilit (ABS-CBN) 20.7%; Kap’s Amazing Stories (GMA-7) 21%
