Where the Wild Things Are is an upcoming fantasy film from Warner Bros. based on the popular children’s book of the same title by Maurice Sendak.
The movie stars Catherine Keener, Max Records and featuring the voices of Benicio Del Toro (Wild Thing), Forest Whitaker, Catherine O Hara, Tom Noonan, Michael Berry Jr. (Daniel the Bull), Paul Dano (Alexander) and Lauren Ambrose (KW).
Gist: The adventures of a young boy named Max who, after being sent to bed for misbehaving, imagines that he sails away to where the wild things are. Max is loved by the wild creatures who make him their King, though he soon longs to be back home with his family.
Helmed by Spike Jonze, Where the Wild Things Are is coming to theaters on October 16, 2009.
