Walt Disney has released a new batch of promotional photos from the upcoming hand-drawn animated feature "The Princess and the Frog."

The movie is based from E.D. Baker’s classic fairy tale entitled “The Frog Princess.” It marks the studio’s comeback to hand-drawn animation since Aladdin and The Lion King.

It doesn’t mean Disney will no longer make computer-generated animation with Pixar. As a matter of fact, sequels to Disney Pixar blockbuster hits like Cars, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo are already in the works. They’ll just see to it that there will be a hand-drawn animated feature to come out at least once every two years.

Disney’s The Princess and the Frog is coming to theaters on Christmas Day and on January 2010 in the Philippines.
