I can’t believe I would weep over an artist such as him. At first, I really did thought he was eccentric- somebody who’s really out of his mind, and was as “ordinary” as any celebrity nowadays. Yet, as this certain moment occurred, as I watched a special presentation featuring about what he really is in real life- how he helped countless individuals and unpriveledged souls: how he had eminently inspired listeners with his astounding music filled with soul-stirring messages for the world we’re living now, full of turmoil and depression; and how he uplifted not only the music industry and show business, but also the the conception of how we must look at our life- as a priceless gift from the Almighty- I believe I have seen a better, brand new light of him and having the realization that all those allegations on him were built on false ground.
From his death, I guess I have learned this lesson that you eventually realize that a certain individual has made great strides and significances in your life when he is no longer around with you- and will never be with you forever. If you ever happen to listen on one of his music entitled “Childhood” I do hope that you would be able to understand and relate to how I felt toward him. Here is a short excerpt of this song:
Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for the world that I come from
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart…
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me…
People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such elementary things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…
Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?
I know it may sound bogus to you, me writing a blog on him about this. What I really want is to share a part of him that you haven’t heard before. Let the message of the song be ingrained in the safe and pondered recesses of our hearts- by not judging a person on how he/she looks or how you perceive him to be, for you have never seen or underwent all the pains and bereavement he had borne and undertaken.
Let us pay respect, even for once in our life, for MJ who had benevolently altered many lives. Rest peacefully, great King.

Greater and grateful at 59
From its very humble beginnings as a radio station owned by Robert “Uncle Bob” Stewart to what it is today as challenger to the no. 1 broadcast network in the Philippines, GMA has scored impressive wins.
Now on its 59th year, the Kapuso station has much to be thankful for. In 2008, GMA inaugurated one of the most technologically-advanced studios in the country today—the GMA Network Studios. With cutting-edge equipment and world-class studios, the Kapuso station has come up with more award-winning programs.
Moreover, GMA enjoys the utmost trust of Filipinos, the widest coverage in the country, the highest ratings in Mega Manila and Luzon, and profitable operations despite the economic downturn.

MANILA, Philippines – Media conglomerate ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. reported a net income of P191 million in the first quarter this year, down 21 percent from the P242-million profit recorded the previous year
GMA Offering superior programs and the widest reach across the country, GMA Network also dominates the ratings race.
Data from AGB Nielsen Philippines consistently indicate that GMA Network reigns supreme in Mega Manila—the more relevant area to advertisers. The Kapuso network is also ahead in Luzon, and is continuously growing in the national survey. Based on data from AGB-Nielsen Philippines in May, GMA Network posted a total day (6 a.m. to 12 midnight) household audience share of 40.2 percent, 9.2 percentage points higher than ABS-CBN’s 31 percent. Twenty-two out of the overall top 30 programs were from GMA Network, with the first four programs in the list all Kapuso primetime hits.
As such, despite reductions in industry advertising expenditures, GMA Network remains financially strong and has consistently been ahead of its competitor in minute loading. In the first five months of 2009 , GMA Network registered a net income of P1.087 billion, a growth of 22 percent from the P890-million bottom line last year. Gross revenues for the five-month
period grew by 7 percent to P4.952
billion. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was at P1.854 billion, 12 percent higher compared to 2008 figures.
GMA’s investments in the past years (regional expansion, state-of-the-art GMA Network Studios) solidifiy GMA’s position as the premier network in the Philippines, gearing it for greater growth in the future.

“Though the economy is far more robust than the government figures have reflected, our forecast remains the same. We will continue to be conservative and we will continue to reduce cost,” Eugenio L. Lopez III, ABS-CBN chairman and chief executive officer, said in a briefing yesterday.
He noted, though, that ABS-CBN made P300 million in profits for the second quarter, a 54% decrease.
ABS-CBN Chief Financial Officer Rolando P. Valdueza said cash flow grew by 20% to P800 million in the first five months of the year.

I don’t know why?? if you write against gma-7 at the pep.ph column, the moderator of the pep.ph deleted all the messages or comments. but if you will write comments against abs-cbn, the moderator of the pep.ph (the website) did not delete it. hahahahahaha so funny..right?
i smell something fishy! is pep.ph and gma-7 tandem i heard is real? wow, it’s so disgusting!
all i can say the reality is agb nielsen-pep.ph-gma-7 tandem. they are using the money and their positions to get what they want!
about the result of agb posted at mega manila ratings, all i can say..t they did it because they want to come back the trust of the masses and the advertisers. it’s a tactic of agb nielsen so that many people will believe on the results they are posting and to their company as well.. But wait, there ratings are not credible..why? if you will search and know the reality here in abroad about the issues of manipulation of agb nielsen you will say, the tactics they are using is the same. they are not credible to give ratings. many countries knows that agb is not a good/credible company.
