‘Tayong Dalawa’ Grabs No. 1 in Urban Luzon TV Ratings

The ABS-CBN teleserye “Tayong Dalawa” snatched the no. 1 spot from erstwhile leaders “Zorro” and “May Bukas Pa” in Urban Luzon’s Top 30 programs from June 28 to July 4, 2009 according to AGB Nielsen.
Tayong Dalawa got an average rating of 30.8 percent. Two other kapamilya programs occupied the 2nd and 3rd spot namely May Bukas Pa (30.3 percent) and Only You (29.1 percent).
Zorro, Totoy Bato and 24 Oras took the 4th to 6th slots respectively.

Hindi maawat sa pag-angat sa ratings ang May Bukas Pa at Boys Over Flowers. Sa inilabas na national TV ratings ng TNS Media Research para sa araw ng Thursday, July 16 ay nakakuha ng 42.4% ang May Bukas Pa. Ang inspiring teleserye pa rin ang nananatiling most watched program sa buong bansa. Samantala, nakakuha naman ang Boys Over Flowers ng 32.6%, mas mataas pa sa rating ng mga original primetime teleserye ng kabilang network.

Twenty out of the top 30 programs belong to GMA with Zorro, Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, 24 Oras, Totoy Bato and Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? in the top 10 roster.
AGB Nielsen Philippines provides TV ratings data to at least 24 local companies including GMA Network and another TV channel (not ABS-CBN). Top media agencies plus six regional clients likewise subscribe to AGB Nielsen. Its rival TNS, on the other hand, has not provided updated information on their client base during their industry presentation last May 29.
With a total of 1,650 home panels in Total Urban Philippines, AGB Nielsen Philippines was first to release official National Urban TV Audience Measurement data in January 2007. TNS, on the other hand, has less home panels nationwide with 1,250 and began releasing official national data only in February 2009.
In addition, AGB Nielsen has been providing Mega Manila TV Ratings data since January 2001 while TNS began only in September 2007.
