Harry Potter 6 Hits P104.77 M in 4 Days in RP

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince registered a whopping P104.77 million on its opening weekend in 310 movie screens across the Philippines.

According to Click the City, the figure represents the all-time biggest four-day opening weekend in Philippine history beating the previous record of P103.87 million hauled by Transformers in 2007.

The Half-Blood Prince is also the fastest in the franchise to hit P100 million (the mark for a box-office hit in the Philippines), the fastest time. It reached P100 million in four days outpacing 2007’s “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” which achieved the feat in five days.

All of the 6 Harry Potter films have now earned P959 million and it’s now posed to be the first movie franchise to hit P1 billion in the country. The final two Harry Potter films are set to be shown in 2010 and 2011.
