Former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada is making a big screen comeback after two decades with Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Pamilya" opposite the comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas.

In “Ang Tanging Pamilya,” Joseph Estrada plays the role of Dindo, an extremely strict dad, especially to his only daughter Charlie (portrayed by Toni Gonzaga). Throughout the movie, Dindo puts Charlie’s boyfriend, Prince (portrayed by Sam Milby), through hell. Estrada explained that when his character was still courting Sunshine (Ai Ai Delas Alas) her parents also gave him a hard time that’s why he is getting even.

Ai Ai described her character as a loyal wife and a doting mom to six children. Aling Dionisia Pacquiao, on the other hand, will play the role of Sam Milby‘s mom.

It is said that the film is similar to the Hollywood movie “Meet the Fockers,” only wackier.

“Ang Tanging Pamilya,” produced by Star Cinema, is written by Mae Chua, Zig Marasigan, Kriz Gazmen, Juan Miguel Sevilla and Tats Quiblat. Directed by Wenn Deramas (Ang Tanging Ina, Ang Tanging Ina ‘Nyong Lahat), the movie is scheduled for an October 2009 release.
