“Paranormal Activity” is being tagged as the scariest movie since the Blair Witch Project.
Paranormal Activity is a horror film written and directed by Oren Peli. The movie centers around a young couple who are haunted by a demonic presence at their home. The movie is presented through the cameras set up by the couple to capture such activity.
The limited screenings of the film has been well received by critics so far. As of September 22, 2009, the movie has a 100% Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
The indie film stars Katie Featherston, Micah Sloat, Mark Friedrichs, Amber Armstrong and Ashley Palmer. It was acquired by Paramount for a September 25 release.
