ABS-CBN and DZMM Win Big in CMMA

Kapamilyas dominated the 2009 Catholic Mass Media Awards held Wednesday night, bagging a total of eleven awards including two Hall of Famers.
ABS-CBN received most recognitions for the televisions categories namely Best Drama Series for top-rating series “May Bukas Pa” and “Tayong Dalawa;” Best News Magazine for “Wonder Mom”; Best Special Event Coverage forg “Kidnap”; Best Business News or Feature for ANC’s “Start Up”; Best TV Special for “Kwento ng mga Peligrino”; and Best News Program for ABS-CBN Baguio’s TV Patrol Northern Luzon.
In the radio categories, DZMM reaped awards for its various programs at commercial such as “MMK sa DZMM” for Best Drama Program; “Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Syete” for Best News Program, “Pasada Sais Trenta” for Best News and Commentary Program, “Sikap Pinoy” for Best Business News or Feature, and Best Radio Ad for its values campaign.
Meanwhile, “Sports Unlimited” hosted by Dyan Castillejo and Marc Nelson made it to the CMMA Hall of Fame for winning Best Sports Program for three consecutive years, as well as DZMM’s “Radyo Negosyo” for Best Radio Business News or Feature. This is the first time DZMM entered the prestigious Hall of Fame.
A special award, on the other hand, was given by Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales for primetime drama “May Bukas Pa” which was personally accepted by miracle boy himself, Zaijian “Santino” Jaranilla, together with the fathers of Brgy. Pag-Asa.
ABS-CBN Cebu’s “Sidewalk” program was also awarded a citation for Best Educational Program for radio.
The CMMA is an award giving body that honors media practitioners in the field of television, radio, and music who have promoted basic human values through their works.

I’m reading this blogsite almost everyday but never posted a single comment as I am just seeing purely network war.
Now, I’m dropping this message as I was really worried on the messages of tridgell. Personally, I was impressed on how ABS-CBN was able to get hundred million pesos in a short span of time and on how they used their resources that they receive more donations and in delivering those goods to the impacted families.
But here we are, we have this ‘tridgell’ still trying to put someone who is doing great in charity work questioning everything and emphasizing on 400,000 families that were helped so far — can he or she (or maybe IT since the way she/he thinks is not acceptable for a human person.) imagine how big is 400,000 families and this is only a result of volunteerism.
Message to this person: JUST SHUT UP! and try to help instead of using your angst to ABS-CBN to question everything that is being done by the foundation. SHUT UP! OK?
Para kay tridgell: kung sakali na hindi mo naintindihan ang lahat ng sinabi ko sa taas, pakisabi sa amin para matranslate ko para sa’yo ha kasi alam ko naman mahirap kang makaintindi. salamat

nakakatuwa ang ABS for long term rehab and program para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo.
i gave my donations to them kasi alam ko kung saan napupunta pera ko.
malaking malaking proof na ang gawad kalinga. sa palawan lang ang daming kababayan ko doon ang natulungan nila.
lahat ng kamag anak ko dito sa canada at pati na rin yung nasa america, sa ABS nagpapadala ng donations kasi alam namin na itutulong nila ang pera namin sa mga nangangailangan

400,000 families times 5 person each family meaning almost if not more than 2 million people na ung natulungan ng KAPAMILYA… kung makapagsalita un iba jan kala mo sya meron naitulong…. kung sino ka man.. isa kang BURAK PUTIK at BASURA… nakakahiya kang sabihing pilipino ka… mahiya ka naman…

lam mo, insecurities can kill, xempre ganyan ka kasi kapuso ka, pag kapuso ang nanalo at kapamilya ka, normal na mag rereact ka, pero bilib ako sau…pati ang donation napasok mo, iba ka…ganyan ba talaga kababa ang natutunan mo sa pag aaral o nag aral ka ba talaga?hai naku…shut up ka na lang kasi kahit anung gawin, vatican representative man sila, pari bishops, cardinals, etc…nagustuhan nila ang abs-cbn kasi nga wholesome…eh ung gma, wholesome ba, ilang ulit naba nila inulit ang darna, ilang ulit na nilang piunalitan ang casts nila, hindi lang isa, ilang drama shows naba nila ang umabot sa 5 years, at ilan ba talaga ang fans ng gma, isa, ikaw lang ba???kawawang nilalang…

i am a solid kapuso, pero hindi ko kakampihan si tridgel, i think you crosed the boundary of network war…. dont go to the extent that you dont know what are you talking about… even though that we are a kapuso still you should learn to appreciate what other network is doing.. to abs, sory for what tridgel say about the foundation!!! keep up helping the poor people, coz it is beyond in network war!! good luck..

Para namang nagbuhay lang ng sariling bangko ang awards ng CMMA yong show na patungkol sa pari ang pinanalo sa halip na yong show na may values at tunay na pambata ang Darna. Anyway talo pa rin naman sila dahil patuloy na inalalampaso ang walang ng Bukas ng Darna ni Marian Rivera na always No.1 at Top all over the Philippines sa rating game. Kaya niyo ba ito?
