After 4,337 votes, Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu of Tayong Dalawa bested 9 other finalists for the title 2009 Hottest Love Team on Television!

Kimerald, the monicker given to them by fans, garnered 1,750 votes or a whopping 40% of the 10-way poll. Both Gerald and Kim received rave reviews for their first portrayal of mature roles in the award-winning teleserye “Tayong Dalawa.” It was also the first project where they had their very first bed scene. Kimerald was voted as Hottest Love Team in Starmometer since 2007.

Placing second with 19% of the votes are the love team of Sam Milby and Angel Locsin. After being paired with Piolo Pascual in the fantaserye “Lobo”, Angel’s second primetime series on ABS-CBN was the remake of the Koreanovela “Only You.” This time she was paired with Sam Milby. Both Angel and Sam have distinct personalities that spells “chemistry” when joined together. True enough, their love team was well received by fans.

3rd honors belong to Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa for their “reunion” teleserye “Dahil May Isang Ikaw.” This love team is very popular not just in the Philippines but in other countries where their previous teleserye became a hit.

In 4th place are reel and real couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. They are the highest votegetter among kapuso love teams.

Rounding off the Top 5 are Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion for the remake of the hit koreanovela “Lovers in Paris.” This is KC’s first primetime series on ABS-CBN.

In 6th place are John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo for “I Love Betty La Fea” followed by Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal in “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?” in seventh position. Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado occupied the 8th slot for their soap opera “Paano Ba Ang Mangarap.” Finishing 9th and 10th are the love team of Richard Gutierrez and Rhian Ramos for Zorro and Geoff Eigenmann and Carla Abellana for Rosalinda, respectively.

The selection of the 10 finalists were based on the ratings of their tv series for 2009.
