JC de Vera Leaving GMA 7?

Rising young star, JC de Vera, is rumored to be transferring on ABS-CBN because of lack of projects from his mother network.

In 2008, JC de Vera emerged as one of the most promising young actors to look forward to this 2009. He has been named as GMA Network’s Drama Prince after his highly-rated and praised drama series like Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso, Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig and Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita, where he was paired with Yasmien Kurdi. He also joined the elite group of Bench endorsers.

But since the word war between JC’s manager Annabelle Rama and GMA executive Wilma Galvante started earlier this year, JC has noticeably left without a new primetime series or soap opera. His last primetime series was LaLola opposite Rhian Ramos and his last afternoon soap was Ngayon at Kailanman opposite Heart Evangelista.

Because of this, rumors about his alleged transfer to the kapamilya network started to spread.

“Meron naman[g issue] palagi eh,” JC blurted out. “As far as I know, okey pa ako rito sa network, okey pa ako sa GMA, walang isyung ganun. Kasi may gagawin pa akong [project sa] December eh. So ‘pag December siya nag-start, malamang January siguro mag-start ‘yung taping, so malamang ‘yung ere nun lalagpas sa kontrata ko. Madami ‘yun, lalagpas ako, for sure.”

The project JC is talking about is the upcoming soap “Kahit Minsan Lang” which also highlights the comeback of Camille Prats. As far as JC is concerned, he is still a kapuso. But what if his manager Annabele Rama decides to transfer him to ABS-CBN the moment his contract with GMA ends?

So far, JC can be seen on Dear Friend’s “Special” episode together with Jewel Mische and Ynna Asistio. But since he has a new soap coming, JC will remain a kapuso (most likely).
