Lifestyle Network celebrates its 1st decade via the successful launch of the 10 Outstanding Women and 10 Inspiring Stories photo exhibit at the Powerplant Mall in Makati which will run until October 31 (Saturday).
On its 10th anniversary, Lifestyle Network puts the spotlight on 10 Icons who have made exceptional marks in the fields that they’ve chosen and have touched the lives of people around them as they live out their passion, as well as 10 inspiring stories who were chosen by the viewers.
According to Tippy Benedito, Channel Head of Lifestyle Network, the icons were chosen on the basis of their character, strength, service and their perseverance. They are admirable women who inspire everyone.
One of the icons, ABS-CBN Foundation’s Managing Director Gina Lopez opened the launching night by saying, “These women are women of substance and so is the Lifestyle Network.”
Included in the list of Icons are world-class persona/ performer Lea Salonga, host-actress Donita Rose, model-host Isabel Roces, Fashion Designer Hindy Weber-Tantoco and Stage Actress Menchu Lauchengo-Yulo. Completing the ten women are cancer-survivor Kara Alikpala, Chef and Entrepreneur Margarita Fores, CCP Chair Emily Abrera, ballet dancer Lisa Macuja and Gina Lopez.
Donita Rose shared, “I’m very honored to be a part of something as huge as this and sometimes as a result of seeing all these other women and their accomplishments I feel I like I have yet so much more to give, napag-isip ako ng husto after I was told about this, I realized that I don’t do enough for our country, it’s a good thing to reflect on and to realize that there is so much work still to be done.”
