GMA Airs ‘Punch Out’ – Pacquiao vs Cotto Primer

One day before the much-awaited fight of the year unfolds, GMA Network in cooperation with Alta Productions Group, Inc. presents PUNCH OUT Special: The Pacquiao-Cotto Primer.
The boxing special, which will air in key cities of the regions (Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Dagupan, Naga, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, and General Santos) will give boxing fans an up close and personal look at Manny Pacquiao and Juan Miguel Cotto.
It will air on Saturday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m. on GMA Network.
Punch Out will be hosted by boxing analyst Mike Ochosa and will feature interviews with Pacquiao, trainer Freddie Roach, Gerry Peñalosa, Buboy Fernandez, and boxer Urbano Antillion.
The one hour primer will go beyond the ‘tale of the tape’, as it will tackle each boxer’s individual skills, fighting style, and more.
Who has the edge in this coming bout? Whose fists will reign supreme? Will Pacquiao beat Cotto and become the first boxer to win seven (7) world titles in as many divisions? Or will Cotto land the biggest win of his famed boxing career?
Punch Out will surely increase viewer anticipation before Pacquiao and Cotto meet in the biggest fight of their careers and let theirs fists do the talking.

sobrang delay magtelecast nitong gma.. alam na ng boung sambayanan pero sa knila wala pa… ung abs dati delay rin pero di kagaya ngaun sobrang tagal.. hmp, buti nalang me cable ako.. hahahah

Broadcast giant GMA Network remains on track of reaching its yearend net income growth target of 20 percent to P2.8 billion as it finished the first nine months of 2009 with a 10 percent increase in net earnings versus last year.
In a press briefing, the firm said net income jumped to P2.15 billion from the P1.96 billion earned in the same period in 2008 despite the series of calamities that recently struck the country and the global financial crisis that caused a decrease in ad spend among major advertisers.

ang tanga iba ang rev. sa net income…bobo ang net income revenues minus expense..
kung mataas ang expense mo dapat masmataas ang kita mo..
ang gma7 hindi na kailangan na gumastos ng todo para kumita ang abscbn kahit gumastos ng todo wala kita.

In the third quarter, the network’s advertising minutes fell by 6.6% to 25,774 minutes from 27,581 minutes last year. The network said though that its advertising minutes were still higher than those of competitor ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., which logged a 16.6% decrease in minutes.
GMA Network Chairman Felipe L. Gozon said the company recorded a cutback from big advertisers but noted that smaller advertisers have been taking up the slack. Advertising in October and November has also been picking up.
“So far for November, sales figures for advertising have amounted to P767.9 million and that is only for [Channel 7]. In November 2008, we had P930 million so we will definitely have higher advertising numbers,” said Mr. Gozon.
Gilberto R. Duavit, GMA chief operating officer, said “this quarter is the strongest year-end quarter we have had.”
