Ang Panday ("The Blacksmith") is the entry of GMA Films and Imus Productions in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival.

The film is an adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas‘ graphic novel of the same title. Directed by Rico Gutierrez and Mac Alejandre, the epic movie stars Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., who previously starred in a version of the character in Dugo ng Panday (“Blood of the Blacksmith”) in 1993. The late Fernando Poe, Jr. originally portrayed the role in several versions of the pinoy fictional hero.
