It's sweet revenge for ABS-CBN because after more than 8 years, they finally came up with a show that will be able to beat GMA's "SiS."

The 2009 PMPC Star Awardee for Best Celebrity Talk Show will air its last episode on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2010. It was beaten by the talent variety show of ABS-CBN, Showtime.

Showtime replaced Ruffa and Ai and it premiered last October 26. Slowly but surely, Showtime climbed the ratings game causing SiS‘ to decline significantly. Showtime gained more viewership that it was able to beat the kapamilya noontime program “Wowowee” a couple of times.

As for SiS, they will come to a fold with pride that they lasted more than 8 years on air. Most shows don’t even last a year. And during this period, SiS trumped a number of kapamilya programs including D Day!, Morning Girls, Morning Girls with Kris and Korina, Good Morning Kris, Morning Star, Homeboy, Most Requested Show, Boy and Kris and Ruffa and Ai.

According to reports, SiS will be replaced with a daily variety show called “Todo Bigay”. The new GMA pre-noontime program will be hosted by returning kapuso Bayani Agbayani and the mother-son tandem of Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao and Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao. GMA executive Wilma Galvante has confirmed that “Todo Bigay” will begin airing next year before “Eat Bulaga” but declined to comment about the status of “Sis”.

Rumor has it that Carmina Villaroel, one of the three hosts of SiS, was offered by GMA to join Todo Bigay but it is still under negotiation. It is also reported that ABS-CBN is offering Carmina, and her husband Zoren Legaspi, to be a kapamilya. This we have to wait if Carmina will remain a kapuso or if she will transfer to ABS-CBN.
