GMA Pits ‘Kapuso Movie Festival’ to ‘Showtime’

In the first week of the year, GMA will try to avenge the defeat of its longest-running talk variety show “SiS” by pitting Kapuso Movie Festival to ABS-CBN’s “Showtime.”
Showtime became the first ABS-CBN program in more than 8 years to be able to put the longest-running morning talk-varitey show SiS off the air. While GMA is preparing the talent variety show “Todo Bigay” to be hosted by the mother and son team of Aling Dionisia and Manny Pacquiao, with Bayani Agbayani and Eugene Domingo, the network will air a week of exciting movies.
The Kapuso Movie Festival will air on the timeslot of SiS (10:15 a.m.) to rival the top-rating talent variety show of ABS-CBN–Showtime.
Here is the schedule of movies to be shown for the whole week:
Monday – Resiklo
Tuesday – Desperadas 2
Wednesday – Scaregivers
Thursday – Anak ng Kumander
Friday – Urduja
Can these movies decrease the double-digit rating of Showtime into single digit in Mega Manila and nationwide? We will find out.
