The Primetime Queen Marian Rivera will be honored today by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as one of Mandaluyong City's Top 10 Taxpayers in the individual category.

The awarding of Mandaluyong City’s Top 10 Taxpayers is also part of its week-long celebration of its 65th Liberation Day. The city will also honor its six “Ulirang Mandalenyo (Exemplary Mandaluyong residents),” in the fields of governance, business, education, arts and culture, sports, and journalism.

Marian Rivera is currently accepting the award as Mandaluyong City’s Top Taxpayer (Individual Category) for 2009 at the Trinoma Mall, Quezon City. The event is also part of BIR’s Annual Tax Campaign Kick-Off to encourage other celebrities to pay their taxes regularly.
