‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ is an Instant Hit

ABS-CBN’s newest talent-reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent” reigned supreme on TNS weekend national TV ratings surveys and claimed the top spot on its pilot telecast with a whopping 38.7 percentage points, trashing competition’s 13.9%

“Pilipinas Got Talent,” hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano, also dominated on its Sunday airing hitting 37.5 percentage ratings, a 19.4 percentage point lead against GMA’s 18.1%

The whole country definitely got the Got talent fever as they continue to fuzz over outstanding performances seen during PGT auditions held in Cebu and Cagayan De Oro cities.

Among these unforgettable hopefuls is the group of 60-year old women strutting to the tune of Beyonce’s hit song “Single Ladies,” and a teenage orphan boy who sounded like one whole band with his human beat box skills.

Kids also made a mark and truly impressed judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Freddie M. Garcia a.k.a. FMG as they showcased their sheer vocal prowess.

Even on the internet, “Pilipinas Got Talent” was able to create online clamour. On social networking site Twitter alone, the show managed to become one of the top trending topics or most talked about topic by Twitter users from all over the world.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” is a franchise from the popular “Got Talent” brand which discovered and continues to discover some of the best acts from around the world. It is the only nationwide talent-realty show in the country which gives Pinoys the chance to show what they got regardless of their age or location.
