Gretchen Barretto makes a grand comeback as she graces once again the longest running drama anthology on Philippine TV, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).

According to Gretchen, MMK gave her the opportunity to unleash her talent as an actress. She got her first acting award from PMPC’s Star Awards for Television last year. “Hanggang ngayon, I am very thankful to MMK as the show gave me an opportunity to show what I got,” La Greta shared.

This Saturday, Gretchen will give life to another controversial character, Maria, a widow who falls in love with a newly transferred parochial priest portrayed by Jomari Yllana. Their peculiar relationship ends in marriage. Against all odds, she fights for her love and her children. She thought that a perfect life awaits them after moving to a new place but circumstances lead her to suffer the life of a pariah, under the intense scrutiny of her community.

Will she able to survive the condemnation? Will love be enough for her and her children?
