With just days before the country’s first ever poll automation on May 10, top-rating noontime show Wowowee recently held a live demonstration of the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines as part of its voters education campaign.

None other than Wowowee hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Pokwang and Jed Montero tried out the automated election system with the help of representatives of Commission on Elections (Comelec) and Smartmatic-TIM. The hosts were guided on the right way of casting the ballots and how the PCOS machines work.

Headed by Comelec spokesman James Jimenez , the live PCOS testing aimed to educate the local and global audience of the popular ABS-CBN show.

Wowowee’s voters’ education campaign is part of ABS-CBN’s campaign for a clean and successful election.
