In an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN) Friday night, Coco Martin is grateful to his fans for making him win in Starmometer's 100 Sexiest Men in the Philippines for 2010 poll.

In the fourth edition of Starmometer’s exclusive poll “RP’s Sexiest Men,” Coco Martin received the most number of votes besting previous winners Sam Milby (2007), Piolo Pascual (2008) and Aljur Abrenica (2009). The said poll was conducted through Starmometer’s official Facebook fanpage where every participant (registered online voter) can only vote once and everyone can see who voted for whom in real time. The poll was opened last April 6 and ended last May 2.

It’s interesting to note that Starmometer received its all-time highest number of hits in one day last May 3 when we posted the results of RP’s Sexiest Men of 2010. Last May 3 (Monday), we got 30,627 unique hits and 62,271 page impressions for the whole day. The next day, May 4 (Tuesday), Starmometer surpassed the 30,000 unique hits bracket/day for the second time.

Coco Martin is very happy and grateful with the triple blessings that he received this week. First, he won Best Actor at the Golden Screen Awards for his performance in “Kinatay.” Second, he bagged a very important role in the highly-anticipated Star Cinema movie “Sa ‘Yo Lamang” co-starring him with Lorna Tolentino, Christopher De Leon, Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo and Enchong Dee who ranked 2nd to him in this year’s RP’s Sexiest Men. And thirdly, he was voted as no. 1 Sexiest Man in the Philippines.

In an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon which was aired Friday night, Coco is grateful with these blessings.

“Actually, nabalitaan ko rin yan. Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng mga bumoto sa akin, sa lahat ng Cocoholics, maraming maraming salamat. Sobra kong thankful pero hindi ko inexpect na mananalo ako,” he said.
