Cinema One at Full Tilt this June

Cinema One, the country’s premiere cable channel, offers a colorful dose of contemporary blockbusters and immortal classics this mid-year.

Primetime on Cinema One offers an excellent lineup of movies that showcase the wide range of film genres in Philippine cinema.

Blockbuster Sundays bring you only the best and biggest Pinoy movies every week at 8:00pm. This premiere timeslot kicks off the month with Green Paradise (June 6), the film that launched Cristine Reyes into stardom. Catch the cable premiere of the Star Cinema hit And I Love You So (June 13), starring the first big screen love triangle of Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay and Sam Milby. Judy Ann Santos and Ogie Alcasid pair off in the romantic comedy Oh My Girl (June 20). Vic Sotto falls in love with a sultry and scary Cristine Reyes in the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival favorite Ang Darling Kong Aswang (June 27).

The newest Star Cinema love stories are on Romance Central, Sundays at 6:00 pm. Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin travel halfway around the world to find true love in Love Me Again (June 6). Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis‘ worlds collide in When Love Begins (June 13). Maricel Soriano, Angelica Panganiban and Aga Muhlach weave tales of intimacies and intricacies in A Love Story (June 20). Bea Alonso, Derek Ramsay and Sam Milby heat up the screens with And I Love You So (June 27)

Intriguing dramatic foreign films, dubbed exclusively for the viewers of Cinema One, take centerstage on Monday Drama every 9:00 pm. In Mountain Patrol (June 7), mysterious disappearances lead to horrifying climaxes. House of Harmony (June 14) brings the beauty, elegance and romance of 1920s Singapore. Get entangled in webs of seduction and deceit in the sexy Spanish film My Brother’s Wife (June 21). End the month with epic drama, epic technical effects and epic box office success in Sinking of Japan (June 28).

Vic Sotto headlines Cinema One’s Tuesday Comedy block every 9pm this June! Wacky adventures are always out of this world with Vic and Kristine Hermosa in Enteng Kabisote 4 OK Ka Fairy Ko The Beginning of a Legend (June 1). Comedy Prince Vic and Comedy King Dolphy butt heads in Dobol Trobol (June 8). Nonstop comedy comes with the Tito-Vic-and-Joey starrer Iskul Bukol 20 Years After (June 15). Vic experiences the hilarious side of internet romance with Paula Taylor in LOL: Love On Line (June 22). And he and Cristine Reyes round out the month with Ang Darling Kong Aswang (June 29).

John Lloyd Cruz is Cinema One’s Numero Uno Choice Artist for June. Catch his award-winning filmography as Philippine’s most exciting young actor today in Wednesday Winners every 9:00pm. Witness the rise of his love tandem with Sarah Geronimo in 2008’s surprise hit A Very Special Love (June 2). John Lloyd faces off with Claudine Barretto and Aga Mulach in the movie Dubai (June 9). He reprises his role as Miggy Montenegro in the sequel You Changed My Life (June 16). Relive the Popoy-and-Basha romance in One More Chance (June 23). Lloydie goes head-to-head with Sam Milby over Bea Alonzo‘s heart in the comedy Close To You (June 30).

Pop Theatre also features John Lloyd movies from June 21 to 25 at 11am. Catch him in the coming-of-age movie Nagbibinata (June 21), the colorful film Now That I Have You (June 22), the first John Lloyd-Bea Alonso hit My First Romance (June 23), the heartwarming collection of stories All About Love (June 24), and the romantic flick Mahal Na Kung Mahal (June 25).
