PBB’s Teenternational Housemate Bret Jackson on MYX

Bret Jackson, one of the finalists during the recent Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen edition who is the batch's Justin Bieber look-alike will grace the MYX channel for three months starting this month.

This is the prize he won during a competition judged by MYX VJs Bianca and Chino while inside the PBB house. Each teen housemate was given a challenge – to try out being a video jock (VJ) and Bret won this with flying colors even if he didn’t have any hosting background.

It was easy for Bret to win this as music is a part of him being an indie singer in the USA, “My edge is that I know music inside and out, I love everything about music. Music is my life.” He even composes songs and inside the house, he wrote pieces for his housemates and rumored special someone Fritzie, a fellow housemate. “I look at stuff inside the house and get inspiration from there. I also wrote for Fritzie”, shared Bret.

Since he got here in the Philippines seven years ago, Bret has been tuning in to MYX and never expected that he will one day be part of the channel. He was just a simple third year student in Dumaguete, Medical Technology batch president, varsity staff of the swimming team and a band member before entering PBB.

When asked how he feels about being teased about his resemblance to Justin Bieber, Bret smilingly said, “That’s okay because he is famous but I think people like my personality over that (my looks).”

Though a hundred percent American, Bret is a fan of Chicosi, Sandwich, Urbandub and Yeng Constatino. He claims he is Filipino at heart.

Hosting MYX is a dream come true for Bret and hopes to give something new to the channel, “MYX clicks with the youth because it gives everything that the youth want. As for the music, it gives them the right to choose, it gives them the joy of music. That’s the whole concept of MYX.”

Don’t miss this teenternational talent in different programs of MYX starting this August. Catch him this month in MY MYX: Mondays to Fridays at 2:30am, 8am, 3pm, and 8:30pm and on Weekends at 8am.
