Just like what we predicted in our Fearless Forecast, Mexico took home the Miss Universe crown!

Crowd favorite Jimena Navarrette Rosete has been the second Mexican to be crowned Miss Universe in Las Vegas.

1st Runner Up: Jamaica, Yendi Phillipps
2nd Runner Up: Australia, Jesinta Campbell
3rd Runner Up: Ukraine, Anna Poslavska
4th Runner Up: Philippines, Maria Venus Raj

Special Awards:

Miss Photogenic – Thailand, Fonthip Watcharatrakul
Best National Costume – Thailand, Fonthip Watcharatrakul
Miss Congeniality – Australia, Jesinta Campbell

Mexico and Jamaica also received the highest scores from the swimsuit and evening gown competition combined.

Congratulations to our very own Venus Raj for breaking the 10-year drought of the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant. The last time the country placed in the said pageant was in 1999 when Miriam Quiambao won 1st runner up.
