Resident Evil: Afterlife is an upcoming Sci-fi action-horror film starring Milla Jovovich.

It’s the fourth installment in the Resident Evil film adaptations based on the Capcom Survival Horror video game series Resident Evil. It will also start a new Resident Evil film trilogy. The film was written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. It will be the first film in the series to be released in 3-D.

Resident Evil: Afterlife stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Sienna Guillory, Shawn Roberts, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Kim Coates, Kacey Barnfield, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, and Norman Yeung. After many delays, it is scheduled to be released on September 10, 2010

Jovovich reprises her role as Alice, the main star of the Resident Evil film trilogy. Ali Larter will be returning to reprise her role of Claire Redfield. Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) will be starring as Chris Redfield, Claire’s older brother and protagonist in the video game franchise. Albert Wesker, the games’ primary antagonist, will be portrayed by Shawn Roberts. Sienna Guillory is set to reprise her role as Jill Valentine, who’s character has seemed to become a traitor according to some footage.

The film is set to be out September 10th, 2010, in theatres and IMAX, and the film will also be in 3D. It will be the first film in the series to be in 3D. It has been confirmed that zombies similar to Majini will be in this film. There will also be a fight scene with a monster similar to the Executioner Majini of Resident Evil 5.
