‘The Correspondents’ Triumphs at 2010 Lasallian Scholarum Awards

The Kapamilya documentary program was honored at the 2010 Lasallian Scholarum Awards.

ABS-CBN’s award-winning news documentary program, “The Correspondents,” added another feather to its cap after taking home the trophy for “Outstanding Televised Feature Story on Youth and Education” at the 2010 Lasallian Scholarum Awards last August 27.
Karen Davila’s “Batang Bida” report, which featured two young athletes from General Santos City, was recognized “for raising our hope optimism and championing youth development through sports.”
Meanwhile, tune in to “The Correspondents” this Tuesday (Sep 7) to learn about the ailment that has hit more than 60,000 Filipinos, including actors Derek Ramsay, Enchong Dee, and John Prats.
Dengue, which comes from the bite of a mosquito Aedes Aegypti, has so far killed 450 this year. The Department of Health recently announced that a plant called “Tawa-tawa” can help treat the deadly illness.
