It's week 2 of the final round of 100 Most Beautiful Women in the Philippines for 2010!

We ended the first phase of our poll “100 Most Beautiful Women in the Philippines for 2010 Final Round.” Apparently, Facebook has deleted the photo of Marian Rivera because according to them, the photo “attacks an individual or group, or that it contains nudity, drug use and violence.” They added that this policy is designed to ensure Facebook remains a safe, secure and trusted environment for all users, including the many children who use the site.

Idiotic on their part, the photo of Marian Rivera in our poll does not, in any way, qualify as pornographic, nor promotes drug use and violence. They deleted the photo because some anti-Marian Rivera folks have requested for its removal using the above-mentioned reasons. Facebook did not even carefully check their criteria before following the request.

In this line, we are ending the first week of the Final Round saving the last update that we have:

The above update is recorded and will remain in the final scores of our Top 20.

We shall open a new poll that will begin today and we will call it PHASE 2. Every Starmometer Facebook Page members who voted in Phase 1 will get the chance to cast their votes again in phase 2. The votes in phase 1 will be added in the total votes in phase 2. If ever Facebook will delete another photo, we shall have a phase 3 and it will be a different method.

The final 20 will continue to vie for your votes on Phase 2 via Starmometer’s Facebook Page. This will ensure 100% transparency and accuracy as each respondent’s vote(s) is recorded and his/her identity is seen by other respondents. This process will virtually eliminate any doubts and suspicion on cheating, thereby making the results more reliable and accurate reflecting the unified choice of the majority.

Voting for your favorite female celebrity to be “the most beautiful woman in the country” is easy. Simply follow these steps:

HOW TO VOTE

1. Log-in to your Facebook account. If you don’t have a facebook account yet, simply register at www.facebook.com.

2. Go to Starmometer’s Facebook Page and click “LIKE.”

3. Proceed to the “Photos” section at the left sidebar and click the album entitled “100 Most Beautiful Women in the Philippines for 2010 – Final 20 PHASE 2.” The pictures of the 20 finalists will be displayed.

4. Click the image of your favorite celebrity to enlarge the photo.

5. Under the photo, simply click on the word “like” to vote.

6. Please take note that you must be logged-in to your Facebook account and you must be a fan of Starmometer’s Facebook Page in order to cast your vote. If you’re not registered as a fan, the word “like” below the image will not appear.

The final poll starts today, September 7 and will be concluded on the midnight of October 24, 2010.
