Lea Michele to Charice: "You are a foreign exchange student named Sunshine Corazon because you're from the Philippines where it's sunny every day!"

Charice‘s first performance on Glee is singing Lady Gaga and Beyonce‘s “Telephone” with Lea Michele. Charice is the Filipino foreign exchange student Sunshine and Lea is Rachel.

The scene happened inside the girls’ CR. Rachel (Lea Michele) approached Sunshine (Charice) to encourage her to join the glee club. However, when she heard Sunshine sing “Telephone,” Rachel immediately recognized her as competition.
