Shaina Magdayao Says She’s Ready to Fight for Her Love

More and more viewers are getting hooked to the ABS-CBN afternoon drama “Precious Hearts Romances Presents Alyna” as proven by the show’s consistent high ratings.
The Shaina Magdayao-starrer even notched the top spot among all daytime TV programs last October 7 according to the nationwide overnight ratings data from Kantar Media.
Fans of the show will have more reason to watch this week as the four lead characters finally cross paths. Rex (Sid Lucero) will return to Rancho Del Carmen to fight for Alyna and their child. His wife, Lilet (Kaye Abad) will follow him to the Philippines and pretend all is okay between them to avoid the ire of her father.
Viewers are already anticipating the much-awaited face-off between multi-awarded actors Jason Abalos and Sid, who is nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 International Emmys.
Asked if she was ever in a situation when she had to fight for her loved one or if someone had fought for her, Shaina said she had experienced both.
“Ako basta nasa tama, hindi ako takot ipaglaban ang taong mahal ko. Basta wala akong taong tinatapakan, ipaglalaban ko ‘yun,” said the Princess of Hearts.
She added that recently many people came to her defense when she got entangled in an ugly rumor.
“Sa mga nangyari sa akin these past few months, aminin natin na sinubok talaga ako ng buhay. Hindi lang isang tao ang nagtanggol sa ‘kin kaya I feel really blessed and thankful na may mga ganung tao sa paligid ko,” she explained.
Jason, meanwhile, revealed he is currently trying to fight his feeling for someone.
“Ang sarap lang kasi magmahal kung alam mong tamang tao ang minamahal mo. Kahit lalaki ako, naniniwala ako sa fairytales. Kinikilig-kilig din ako,” he confessed.
When asked if he is talking about actress Kim Chiu, who is being linked to him, the actor said they are just friends.
“Lahat ng labas namin, isang grupo kami. Hindi pa kami lumalabas nang kaming dalawa lang,” he said.
