What is it about Katy Perry's songs that they sound better when sung by a man?

After the hit Darren Criss cover of “Teenage Dream” on Glee, the best-selling Glee track on iTunes ever, Boyce Avenue featuring David Choi rendered another cool male version of a Katy Perry song. It’s the inspirational hit–“Firework”–and it made me go oh oh oh!

Boyce Avenue is a Puerto Rican band composed of acoustic-singing brothers Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano. David Choi, on the other hand, is a Korean-American who is also a YouTube sensation.
