Julia Roberts to Play Evil Queen in Live Action ‘Snow White’ Movie
Julia Roberts has been cast as the Evil Queen in an upcoming live-action version of the classic fairy tale!
The film’s title is “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White”, which is based from the original German novel where the 1937 animated version of Walt Disney came from.
The star of hit rom-com movies such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, Mystic Pizza, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride, Valentine’s Day and Pretty Woman will play an off-beat role in which she is not known for. And that alone is what makes the film interesting.
CEO Ryan Kavanaugh of Relativity Media, the film’s producer, officially confirmed the big news, “Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen. She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could.”
“The Brothers Grimm: Snow White” is scheduled to be released on June 29, 2012.

don’t get me wrong, i like angel locsin’s beauty more than most of the artistas, pero sa ginagawa mong pagpo-post ng wala sa lugar, parang pinapalabas mo na kailangan i-convince ang ibang tao na totoo ang sinasabi mo.

yea, Angelina Jolie is also a good choice…
pero parang magkakaroon ng interes ang mga potential viewers kung si Julia ang gaganap dahil magiging curious sila kung bagay nga ba sa kanya ang role.
There are three Snow White movies in the works. Charlize Theron will play the evil queen on Snow White and the Huntsman, with Viggo Mortensen as the huntsman and Kristen Stewart as Snow White. The other two projects are still casting their leads. It should be interesting which version will be better.:)

kung ako tatanungin, this role would have been perfect for angelina jolie. may pagka-maleficent at oppressive din kasi ang aura/dating ni angie. to think na rin na halos kamukha nya ang animated version nito by disney.
