20th Century Fox has released the official movie trailer of the fifth X-Men movie and a prequel to the first three movies.

“X-Men: First Class” is set during the 1960s and it will focus on the relationship between Professor X and Magneto and the origin of their groups, the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants.

Starring in the new X-Men film are James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Lucas Till as Havok, Zoe Kravitz as Angel, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Jason Flemyng as Azazel.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, “X-Men First Class” is set to hit theaters worldwide on June 3, 2011.
