‘The King’s Speech’ Wins 7 BAFTA Trophies
The King’s Speech took home seven awards including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Screenplay.
Colin Firth bagged his second Best Actor award for the second straight year. He won last year for his performance in “A Single Man.” This year he won for “The King’s Speech.”
Other front-runners “The Social Network” and “Inception” took three trophies each.
On the other hand, The Harry Potter film series was given the Michael Balcon Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema.
