Adrianne Palicki is the New Wonder Woman

A first look photo of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman has been released.

Adrianne Palicki is best known for her role as Tyra Collette on the NBC television series Friday Night Lights. She also appeared in Supernatural, South Beach, Titan Maximum and Lone Star.

Last February, it was announced that the 27-year-old actress will portray the famous superheroine in NBC’s upcoming reboot of the classic 1970s series under the supervision of writer-producer David E. Kelley.

The plot is described as “a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”

The upcoming pilot also stars Austin Power’s Elizabeth Hurley as the villain Veronica Cale and Saw’s Cary Elwes as Henry Detmer, Diana’s boss.

Adrianne’s costume was based on the current design of the graphic novel by Don Kramer:
